Experience:
Coach Valdez has been boxing since the age of seven. Coming from a large family of 11, he has been taught boxing by Old School trainers. Hailing from the Police Athletic
League, he understands the power of boxing and is committed to being a role model for the people he teaches. Coach has numerous amateur and professional fights to his credit. As an undefeated kick-boxer, coach knows what it takes to be a champion.
Some of his titles include: Golden Gloves State Champion, Silver Gloves State Champion, Golden Bear Champion, Salvador Sanchez boxing winner, 1992-1993, Arizona State Karate, Kung-Fu champion.1999 Arizona State Full Contact Kick-Boxing Champion. Coach has fought on Tuesday night fights and ESPN Championship boxing.
Coach Valdez is a seventh degree Kajukenbo black-belt and a third degree Shotokan Black Belt. He has appeared in Soldier of Fortune magazine, Martial Arts magazine, and has cornered Drew Fickett in the Ultimate Fighting Championship 51. Coach has trained countless MMA and professional boxing fighters, including: UFC fighter Drew Fickett, World Combat League (WCL) fighter Bryan Corley, Tucson Scorpions, Mike Whitehead, Gabe Casillas, Ed West, Two time Bas Rutten Invitational champion David the Beast Harris, “Judo” Joey Rivera, WBC World champion, Charles “Showboat” Davis, Robert “No Bail” Bailey and he continues to train top notch fighters. Coach Valdez also has been consulted by actors: Val Kilmer and Stephen Baldwin. He strongly believes the way of the warrior is one of humility and honor. |
